Luna and the Glasses of Dreams: a new LOOKKINO project

LOOKKINO’S FIRST EDITORIAL PROJECT

An illustrated story to guide children into the world of eyewear.

With “Luna and the Glasses of Dreams”, LOOKKINO presents its first editorial project: an illustrated book created to speak to children, families and opticians through a simple, positive and reassuring language.

The story follows Luna, a little girl who experiences getting her first pair of glasses as the beginning of a new adventure. Through encounters, imagination and small discoveries, Luna learns to see glasses not as a limitation, but as a precious tool to see the world more clearly and feel more confident.

The project was created with the aim of turning an important moment in many children’s lives into a calmer, more natural and positive experience, helping them accept their glasses with curiosity and confidence.

A BOOK DESIGNED TO BE CLOSE TO EVERY CHILD

Illustrations, colours and words that make reading accessible and engaging.

Every detail of “Luna and the Glasses of Dreams” has been designed with children in mind: from the illustrations to the choice of colours, through to the use of a highly readable font, created to make reading clearer and more accessible, even for children with reading difficulties.

The colour palette was also developed with a strong focus on inclusivity, using colours designed to be perceived more effectively even by children with colour blindness or difficulties in distinguishing shades. The illustrations accompany the story with a delicate, welcoming and imaginative style, creating a visual world where every child can feel part of the story.

With this project, LOOKKINO confirms its commitment not only to the quality, comfort and safety of children’s eyewear, but also to the emotional well-being of young wearers. The book therefore becomes a tool for dialogue between families and opticians: a simple way to talk more naturally about vision, first glasses and growing up.

“Luna and the Glasses of Dreams” is now available in Italian. Full purchase details will be shared soon, and the project will also open up to new languages to accompany more and more children on their journey with glasses.
